The source of the phrase ‘age of concord’ and its 1940–1960 dating: Richerson’s summary of the account in Turchin’s Ages of Discord, not a term the reviewers coined. Turchin’s own paper calls the same decades ‘the second peaceful period in US history.’ Corrected 2026-10-01: this record called the phrase ‘the reviewers’ term’ and printed the dates with a hyphen. The full text was fetched and extracted 2026-08-06; the phrase appears verbatim at the passage quoted in the citation.
