WHAT THIS IS
Word Reimagined is the cultural institution that investigates language, power, memory, and myth, then publishes new meaning back into the world. It does that work in the open, with the documents attached.
The method
"We Docket what is anchored to a public document. Everything else stays On the table until it earns a record." That is the house rule, and every essay is built under it. Each one carries its own docket: the documents behind the piece, graded by trust tier, traceable to records you can pull yourself. Quotations are checked against the primary source, character for character, including the source's own errors. A claim that cannot be anchored runs as argument, marked as argument, or does not run.
Essays are filed under permanent accession numbers. WR-FCT-025 names one file today and will name the same file in ten years. The archive is built to be cited.
The record and the chambers beside it
The record publishes in six verticals: history, power, finance, spirituality, culture, and dispatch. Beside it stand two invented properties. Hooded Robin is serialized economic noir, told in dossiers. A Dozen Rifts is mythic fiction, told from inside a city that files its own decisions. Both are fiction. The journalism never borrows their license, and the fiction never borrows the record's authority.
Who makes this
Word Reimagined is written and published by Apollo Benz Productions, an independent studio out of Kansas City. It answers to no parent company and no platform. No fund holds a piece of it. The site runs on infrastructure the studio controls, from code the studio can read, under the doctrine published here as The Sovereign Publishing Manifesto.
The money
The information here is free and stays free. No paywall, no advertising, no sponsored content. The site sets no tracking cookies; visits are counted by Plausible, an analytics tool that collects no personal data and uses no cookies. The work is funded two ways: readers who choose to support it, and goods the studio sells. Access never depends on either.
When we are wrong
Errors of fact are corrected on the page where they appeared, with a dated note saying what changed. The full standard, and the way to flag an error, are at /corrections.
