Press account of the October 1, 2026 session. Source here for two things the Council’s record does not carry: that the resolution “passed unanimously” (the Legistar tally column is blank), PhillyVoice’s paraphrase, attributed to Councilmember Gauthier, that the renaming “doesn’t do anything legally for the community” (PhillyVoice’s words, not a Gauthier quote), and her own words that formal recognition of the harm is “step one” and “It’s not enough.” The Inquirer (Oct. 2, 2026) separately reports the resolution provides no compensation and no way for families to return.
