Sarah Motter, KCTV5, July 4, 2026. Executive Order 26-27, signed July 4, 2026, establishes a three-year credit program for 2023 and 2024 assessment errors for more than 200,000 taxpayers; the State Tax Commission issued orders in 2024 and 2025 requiring the county to reduce residential assessments above 15 percent for those years.
