The alert quotes one finding: “Of the Black borrowers in our study who were in repayment, 72% were enrolled in an IDR plan.” Two figures the August 27 scout batch credited to this report, an 86 percent borrowing rate and a $39,500 average debt, do not appear in it and were dropped at the gate.
