Primary-document transcript of Paul Robeson’s June 12, 1956 testimony before the House Committee on Un-American Activities, including the verbatim line “You are the un-Americans, and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.” Establishes the institutional record of Robeson’s persecution by the same kind of state-and-paperwork apparatus that would later clear his neighborhood and, in 2026, vote to close the school named for him.
