Decided September 25, 2026, per curiam. Docket 26A388 (supremecourt.gov) records: “Application (26A388) for stay … is granted. The September 21, 2026, mandate and September 22, 2026, order entered by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit … are stayed.”
Read at source 2026-09-28: the order PDF, extracted with pdftotext. It states that “as a matter of state law, the 2022 map—not the 2025 map—must be used in the 2026 congressional election,” stays the District Court’s September 21 and September 22 injunctions and the Eighth Circuit’s September 21 mandate and September 22 order, and notes that “Ballots using the 2022 map have been printed and mailed.”
The earlier application in the same litigation, No. 26A304 (Hoskins v. von Glahn), was denied by Justice Kavanaugh on 2026-09-08. It is a different application and is not this record.
