2026 Ballot Measures: Proposition A, official ballot title and Fair Ballot Language

Missouri Secretary of State, “2026 Ballot Measures,” entry for Proposition A, proposed by referendum petition. Carries the Official Ballot Title and the Fair Ballot Language, the latter reading in part: “A ‘yes’ vote will approve the act of the General Assembly entitled ‘House Bill No. 1 (2025 Extraordinary Session),’ which redraws the congressional district boundaries. A ‘no’ vote will leave in place the congressional district boundaries enacted in 2022.”

Raw HTML fetched and read 2026-09-21. The source for the Fair Ballot Language, which is the only document read for this alert that states plainly which way a yes and a no vote run. That mapping is the whole of the alert’s whatToDo, so it is taken from the issuing office rather than from reporting.

This page is also where the state contradicts itself. Its Official Ballot Title says “2025 Second Extraordinary Session.” Its Fair Ballot Language, on the same page, says “2025 Extraordinary Session.” The alert quotes each exactly as it reads and does not repair either.

A caution recorded for whoever reads this next: sos.mo.gov serves its “Page not found” body with HTTP status 200. A status code from this host proves nothing. Both pages cited for this alert were confirmed real by reading the body.
