Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute, King Papers document 'Don't Ride the Bus', author Robinson, Jo Ann Gibson (Women's Political Council (WPC)), December 2, 1955, ephemera: written and distributed by Jo Ann Robinson and the members of the Women's Political Council the day after the arrest of Rosa Parks, calling for a one-day boycott of buses on Monday, December 5; that evening a committee including Martin Luther King Jr. and Ralph Abernathy edited it and added a call for a mass meeting; reproduced on the Dexter mimeograph and distributed by volunteers.
